As you know, we have bought a house on the costa del sol and moved in January 30, 2019. You can read our story here here about buying our villa called El Gavilan.
For 6 years, we spent every winter and spring in our beautiful house and went back to Canada for summer and fall. While we were back home, we rented the house on Airbnb and directly from our website. Below are the links to our rental profiles and comments we received over the years.
As of 2025, we are living full time in Spain and returning to Canada only for 2 or 3 months in the summer. The house will no longer be rented after this summer for the foreseeable future.
The villa is a 6 bedroom, 4 bathroom house which includes two kitchens, a pool, a sauna and a jacuzzi. It has stunning view of the mediterranean and a beautiful garden. It is very private and a fully walled property. There is a pool table, ping pong table, petanque court, BBQ and five terraces. It is 5 minutes by car to Nerja town and beaches and also 5 minutes by car to Frigiliana, one of Spain’s most beautiful Pueblo blanco. It is a perfect house for families or groups of friends and a great location to visit Andalucia.

What an incredibly magical week we had at Villa Gavilan!
Pictures cannot adequately convey the absolute beauty of this property! The home is stunning on every level, from its moorish architecture, to its sprawling and captivating views, the expansive gardens, and tastefully appointed furnishing…it’s no wonder the owners have chosen this villa and location as their home away from home. We did not want for anything during our stay! The villa’s location in a private neighborhood was perfectly situated, with easy access to Frigiliana and Nerja, and grocery shopping conveniences. Blown away by this villa
This villa is absolutely stunning, it has so much space, the bedroom are perfect sized doubles and all with air con which was amazing. The pool area is so relaxing, the bbq was brilliant, it was just an all round amazing spot for our group of 12. We were all blown away by this villa and I cannot recommend it enough.
